EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

  • Yan Technology currently collects personal data on the following: Full name, address, mobile number, landline number, emails, website URLs, social media URLs, personal passwords and IP address.

  • We do not collect any personal data such as: Race, Health status, Sexual orientation, Religious beliefs, Political beliefs, etc.

  • We currently use social media and chat platform accounts to auto fill customers photos onto contact cards to best identify them. These social media accounts may include: Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+.

  • With permission from the client (yourself) we hold your password/s for save keeping and convenience.

  • All data held is password protected and encrypted. Access is controlled, only 1 staff member has access to this data.

  • Any personal data breaches which would significantly harm individuals must be reported within 72 hours to the “relevant supervisory authority”. In the UK that’s the ICO. If the breach is serious enough, you’ll also need to tell the individuals affected.

  • Data is currently stored in the Cloud with G Suites and locally. Data is in two formats; .vcard and .1password encryption. 3rd party cloud provider Google saves the .vcard as a contact card. This is sync'd onto Android based devices, such as mobile and tablets.

  • Data is never transmitted outside the UK by ourselves.

  • We currently ask new customers to fill in a contact form. This is done on a tablet or in paper/pen format.

  • We currently ask for the following: full name, address, contact number, email, relevant passwords to carry out the job, item description, how you found us, issues you are having. We collect this information to carry out the repair and be able to contact you. We also use this information for invoice/receipt/accounting purposes.

  • When using our website contact form, the data will be saved onto Wix contacts. The data is saved onto Wix servers which is cloud based. We move this data from Wix to Google Contacts for safe keeping. We normally do this within 30 days.

  • We currently do not collect any information for newsletters or mailing lists. We may change this in the future and will update this page.

  • We do not sell or give your data to anyone outside of Yan Technology.

  • We currently record and keep a copy of visitors IP address, when you visit the website or access our servers. We do this to for the purposes of protecting the website and servers from hacking attempts.
